Once upon a time I purchased Wet N Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana. I bought this particular product because of its magical properties. It's supposed to give a nice, subtle, glowy highlight (soooo not a bronzer, just bee tea dubz!) to those of us who are fair-skinned maidens. But then soon after acquiring it, this happened:
OH NOEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It shattered, like whoa! Was it ruined? Not really...it could still be used, but was incredibly messy! So then, I decided to fix it! I took a toothpick and went to work. I crunch and smashed it all up to a fine powder using the toothpick. Then I poured a little bit of 70% rubbing alcohol into it, emphasizing a tiny amount at a time. I did this, mixing it up with the toothpick, until it got to a manageable batter consistency. Then I used to toothpick to smooth it out across the pan the best I could. It was lumpy but that was ok. I let it set for an hour or so. Then I took a few coffee filters and used them to kind of smooth out and flatten my makeup batter even more. I used 3 total during this because it also helped to absorb the alcohol out of the powder. And theeeen I let it set for nearly 24 hours, with the compact open to insure all of the alcohol liquidy goodness evaporated. This is what I was left with!
Ta-da!!!
All better!!! Ok, so it's still kind of lumpy but it's a solid thing of compacted powder now which makes it soooo much easier to work with and not nearly as messy! Plus the consistency is still on fleek! Yas, Queen, yaaaaaaas!!!
